I also went Joan. Missed you! Earlier on Saturday it looked like there might be just an occasional light shower in the afternoon, but it really set it and poured. I hope next year is sunny and wonderful. Despite the rain I got to visit with folks a little, got to taste a delicious kale salad, sample the Looking Glass Creamery cheeses, try for some raffle prizes, and bought some Farm & Sparrow Market bread. Had a great conversation with Fulton about cormmeal from 'Trucker's Favorite' corn (as I munched on a yummy cornmeal cookie).

Of course, it poured rain. Miserable day. I feel bad for the vendors who showed up. I was there, but only briefly. Good idea but MN didn't cooperate.

Yes...that was a nice surprise getting potatoes now! I usually just leave them in and let them grow, but I decided to remove them for blight prevention reasons. And Boston was awesome...having been through many hurricanes (a natural, not human disaster, but similar) I have always found that people really pull together and behave valiantly in times of trouble. I hope you are enjoying spring out your way. It has to be beautiful!
Ruth
p.s. I don't know what happened with the comments. Sorry. That is frustrating.

Thank you for your sweet words, Ruth. Well put, and aren't we all so proud of how Boston conducted itself during the horrible trying days. I've tried to leave comments before, so hope this one goes through. Congratulations on your late/early garden --always such a miracle to find last year's potatoes, isn't it?!
Best Spring wishes to you,
Linda
